Dr Dearin has given a distinguished level of dedication and commitment to the growth and development of the Notre Dame Campus in Lithgow and works tirelessly to ensure the ongoing growth and future of the campus.
With an outstanding academic pathway that includes positions such as the Quality Surveyor at the Clinical Excellence Commission, Educator Central West NSW at Beyond Medical Education and the Executive Medical Director at Lithgow District Hospital.
Prior to coming to Lithgow Dr Dearin was the Principal at Harbord Medical Practice, Director of Geriatrics and Rehabilitation at Tamworth Base Hospital and a lecturer at the University of New England.
Having studied at the University of Technology, Sydney; Royal College of Physicians, London; Royal College of Physicians, University of New South Whales and the South African School of Theology, the knowledge and expertise that he has brought to the community is immeasurable and his endeavours will provide ongoing development and opportunity for generations to come.
Dr Dearin is also a registered lay minister with the Bathurst Anglican Diocese.
Member for Bathurst Paul Toole and the Lithgow Mercury acknowledge the significant role that Dr Dearin plays in our community and as a much welcomed citizen and enhancement to the future of Lithgow and congratulate him on being the Lithgow Legend for the month of April.
There are so many outstanding people in our community who give a significant amount of their time to make Lithgow a better place.
Each day we see them in action and through the Lithgow Legends it is one small way in which they can be recognised through these monthly awards.
