The four person ambrose teams came from Blackheath, Oberon and Lithgow with onlyfractions separating several sides.
Scoring was excellent with the handicaps playing a major part in separating the place getters.
The champions for 2014 were Brett Roach, Ashton Arnott Webb, Rob Arnott and Brett Roach with a score of 55 and five eighths nett.
They will now be joined by local club professional Garry Nightingale in the next level of the competition at Twin Creeks where they will be playing for a spot in the final.
SPOKESMAN Rob Arnott said: "We played well and had a bit of luck on our side when we chipped in on two occasions.
"Everyone contributed to the win and thanks to Lithgow Holden for their sponsorship and to all those that made the day the success it has been."
The winning team was presented with magnificent Callaway golf bags.
In second place on 56 and one eighth nett was the team of Darren Thompson, Don Lovett and Blake and Tony Oldfield.
Third place went to Greg Hunter, Richard Mara, Bill Oldfield and Laurie Northey on 56 and three eighths nett.
Club captain Max Nightingale congratulated the place getters and again thanked Rhys Bennett and Lithgow Holden for their sponsorship and support and also thanked the club caterers for their sumptuous lunch that was enjoyed by the golfers.
