I would like to refer to the letter of Bev Matthews (LM Aug 2).
If something can not be done in Lithgow one has to go elsewhere and it is my understanding, direct from Maree Statham last week, that the original display photograph that Ms Matthews refers to could not be processed in Lithgow, so had to be done elsewhere.
With so much digital photography these days, it is hard to find a proper photograph processing shop, even in Bathurst where at least two I knew closed down, as did the main one in Lithgow.
At the same time I was told the flyers are in fact being printed in a family office at Hartley, taken from the original, but minus the reference to Katoomba, as it does not apply.
Don’t forget Ms Matthews that our council has just awarded a contract for a toilet block to a Blayney firm.
How much dearer was it to award it to the local tenderer, and keep our money in town?
