LIGHT snowfalls blanketed parts of the Central Tablelands during Thursday night but this time caused no disruption to the major traffic routes.
Snow had been predicted to low levels with a bitterly cold south westerly change.
While most of the valley experienced wind driven sleet most of the actual snow settled only on some of the sheltered hillsides.
Some of the heaviest falls east of Lithgow appeared to have been between Clarence and Mt Wilson although snow was also reported briefly at Blackheath and Katoomba.
As usual the biggest falls were around Oberon.
Police said the only road closure in the region had been at Oberon during Thursday night.
Pockets of snow could still be seen yesterday morning on the heights around Hassans Walls.
Cold and occasionally wet conditions have been predicted to continue throughout the weekend.
