Mallory Sedger off to NIDA

SIXTEEN year old Lithgow girl Mallory Sedger could be embarking on a journey which could take her to the dizzy heights of the show business world.

Following an audition for the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA) in Sydney during the school holidays for a part-time course in singing, Mallory received the phone call four days later she had been waiting for.

The talented singer was offered a position in NIDA’s Singers Studio for the next two terms.

She will now spend five hours a week receiving specialist tuition in a variety of music styles.

Classes will include vocal technique, lyric interpretation, group and solo singing in contemporary style and musical theatre.

It is a great honour for Mallory who at 16 years old is the youngest of the 12 students and was absolutely thrilled to be given this opportunity.
