The field was divided up into 10 year divisions with golfers playing against golfers around their own age.
Handicap and scratch leaders in the various divisions are:
Up to 19 years: Scratch Harry Bender 79, Caleb Hanrahan 81 and Jake Gillespie 83; handicap Jake Gillespie 64 nett, Brock Egan 73 nett and Harry Bender 74 nett.
10-29 years: Scratch Ian Nightingale 70 and Josh Hanrahan 78; handicap Josh Hanrahan 67 nett and Ian Nightingale 70.
30-39 years: Scratch Clint Rochester 72 and Anthony Boza 76; handicap Rochester 67 nett and Boza 71 nett.
40-49 years: Scratch: Darren Hunter 73 and Bill Oldfield 76; handicap Ted Doggett 71 nett, R Edwards 71 nett and Brian Bourke, Paul Stewart, Brian Bourke and Paul Staines all on 72 nett.
50-59 years: Scratch Max Nightingale and Michael Case 77 and Paul Bosman 79; handicap Case 67 nett, Ian Downey 71 nett and Don Lovett 72 nett.
60-69 years: Scratch Greg Hunter 76 and Jeff Geddes 81; handicap Geddes, Hunter and Geoff Brooks all on 72 nett and Darky Millar and Trevor Byrnes on 73 nett.
70 and over: Scratch Al Seymour 88 and Nev Kerrison 89; handicap Roy Hill 74 nett and Jim Daniels 75 nett.
Australia Day Ambrose
A good field turned out for the Australia Day Ambrose with the team of Harry Bender and Josh Howarth taking out the major voucher with the very good score of 59 nett.
The pair had to survive a countback with the runners-up Ian Nightingale and Luke Bennett also on 59 nett.
Other teams to play well and figure in the ball competition were Frazer and Scott Hamment, Don Lovett and Rob George, Gary Keen and Max McCann and Rob Arnott and Ashton Arnott-Webb.
Nearest to the pin awards went to Nick Bender on the ninth (160cm) and Brett Roach on the 18th (178cm).
Along with the last round of the age championships, the Zig Zag Cup sponsored by the Lithgow Zig Zag Motel will also be held in conjunction with the championships.
