Some of the 16 graduating Certificate III Aged Care students in fact have already found employment in the growing industry of elderly care since starting the year-long course.
Others plan to use the course as basis for getting more qualifications in aged care and nursing.
“The course is a good stepping stone into both work and further study,” teacher Jennifer Smith said.
She commented on the dedication of the graduating students with a high course completion rate of 16 out of the original 22 enrolled.
Anyone interested in a Certificate III in Aged Care can come along to Lithgow TAFE's open day on December 11.
Enrolments are open now for 2014. For information regarding cost and concessions contact Jackie Risby on 6352 0469.
