It was very much a learning curve for this experienced schoolteacher and the visit inspired him to write a book titled ‘Stories My Parents Told Me’, subtitled ‘Tales Of Growing Up In Wartime Malta’.
Rupert’s book is a collection of seven short stories based on actual events during World War II on the island of Malta, in the Mediterranean.
The author will give a talk on Malta and the book at Lithgow Library on Thursday December 19 and will be doing a book signing where required.
(Rupert has a website/blog/facebook site under the same name as the book title).
