Where are Lithgow’s returned servicewomen?

DO you have a return service woman in your family?

The Lithgow and District Family History Society Inc is currently working on a War Hero’s project on the Boar, First and Second World Wars.

The aim of the society is to compile the records of as many return service men and women as possible to place in the library for future generations to be able to access.

This project has been in progress for some time now and the society has had a tremendous response from the general public and Mercury readers, but members have not had any return service women, so, if you have a lady in your family who served in either the First or Second World War we would love to hear from you.

A further object of the society is to produce a book of World War I veterans to be launched for the Centenary of the World War I during 2014-2018.

Members would love to hear from any reader who could assist with supplying any information on this project.
