Men's Shed says thank you

PRESIDENT of the Lithgow Men’s Shed Committee, Peter Potts, has told Lithgow Council he had never anticipated ‘men would have responded so enthusiastically’ to the development of the facility.

The Men’s Shed is currently occupying the South Littleton Hall after carrying out the renovations to the dilapidated premises on council’s behalf.

Mr Potts was speaking during the public forum segment in council.

He thanked council for giving his members the opportunity to renovate the old public hall.

“It enabled us to bring men together and I never believed men would be so enthusiastic,” he said.

“We also want to thank the South Littleton community for allowing us to have a four year lease for the Men’s Shed.”

Mayor Neville Castle said council congratulated the members of the organisation on their ‘dedication and hard work’.
