ONE of the most pleasing aspects of the season for the Lithgow Storm Junior Rugby League is the emergence of an army of talented young players who are really loving their football.
The boys, thanks to their coaches and watching the NRL games on TV, have a real grasp on the game and some great games have been witnessed.
The mini league is a real success and the teams are improving each week.
UNDER 8: The mighty Storm played two games at home on the weekend.
The first was against Blackheath which turned out to be a very even encounter.
Roman Peters and Blake Goldspink led the way with both boys crossing for four pointers.
Nathan Ralph and Lachlan Reilly took the ball up strongly and made ground on each charge.
Seth Reid continued his backing up skills and kept play going with good second phase play.
Game two was against Wang, with a tremendous individual display by Geoid Kuban who scored four great tries.
He was supported by Tyler Buck who crashed over for his first meat pie of the season.
Eli Morris, Tyrann Sheehan and Cody Buck all had strong games and continue to improve.
More Storm results will be featured in Saturday’s Mercury.
