The Open was once again sponsored by the Lithgow Council with more than 120 players taking to the fairways.
The club was very appreciative to see Mayor Maree Statham on hand to present the trophies.
Max Nightingale, Darren Hunter and Bathurst’s Paul Bright all finished on 76 which was an excellent score considering the strong hot winds, hard and quick greens and hard running fairways which made for extremely tough conditions.
At the end of the play-off it was Hunter who took out the title, one shot ahead of runner-up Max Nightingale.
Other major winners were B grade scratch winner Don Lovett, Veterans Max Nightingale, Junior Harry Bender and Commonwealth Bank Shield for the best nett local score Kobe Hunter.
A full report on all the winners and runners-up will appear in Saturday’s Mercury.
