WORKIES teams took to the fields for round 4 of the Lithgow District Footballs Associations' competition at the Marjorie Jackson Playing Fields.

While those non sporting "Lithgowites" found other distractions, Workies players enjoyed the glorious autumn weather as we head into winter.
The following match reports highlight some of the games from round 4.
UNDER 6
Workies Grey: Cody Johnson made some huge chases with Ben Achurch performing well again this week. Rory Case was in the centre of the action and a big effort was put in by Joshua Doalman. Laken Crook and Kayla Law playing well in defence.
Workies White: The Whites played Workies Red in another outstanding game for White.
Jett Shoard enjoyed an outstanding game with great ball control which resulted in him scoring several goals for his team.
Liam Fitzpatrick showed great defence and Erin Gray was enthusiastic chasing well in defence. Clarissa Rintoul and Alexander Joyce were strong in defence.
The team are gelling well with their teamwork and Jett Shoard was awarded the coaches award this week.
UNDER 7:
Workies Black: The Blacks took on Workies Red in what was a courageous effort with the whole team trying their best.
Blake Riha was exceptional and Bianca Stockley's skill is improving with every game.
Purple: Workies Purple took full advantage of the superb weather in their game against Blackheath. Goals went to Bailey Billinge, Toby Campbell, Shae Blackley and Taj Jenkins.
The defence was relentless from Harley Collins and Ella Blackley, with the whole team training hard.
UNDER 8:
Workies Red: Workies Red took on Blackheath Gold in an intense and energetic game.
Kendall Croucher played well showing good positional play and made some good breaks while William Hutchison was a constant worry to the Blackheath defence.
Alkira Rintoul tried her very best and is improving each week.
Goalies for Workies were Paul Dodson and Brock Ringin and both did a top job.
The coach's award this week went to Alkira Rintoul and the Workies Wizard Award went to Paul Dodson.
Workies White: Workies started slowly against LCR relying on Harry Pottinger's diving heroics in goals to keep them in the match.
Mitchell Facchina and Ryan Turner worked overtime repelling wave after wave of the white fury that was LCR.
Finally all the Workies game fell into place with Mitchell "Rocco" Jennings' scoring a hat-trick and was voted player of the match.
Garry Hillyar and Lewis Hammonds both worked tirelessly all game to see Workies take home the chocolates.
All Age Ladies
Workies Red who have the bye today are playing some excellent football with Workies outstanding against LCR.
Kim MacCullagh, Darleen Cheney and Sonia Mantle were the standouts.
