Lithgow High School believes strongly that positive recognition promotes excellence, and strives to promote this attitude amongst students.
They and their community sponsors have been working together to reward positive school student behaviour.
The school's commendation scheme is closely tied to their Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) program.
This program has four explicit expectations, namely that students at Lithgow High School will be responsible, respectful, and safe learners.
When any of these four qualities are displayed by students, they receive recognition.
These procedures praise and promote excellence and help ensure that Lithgow High School remains a positive, caring learning environment for students.
Staff and students of Lithgow High would like to thank, Centennial Coal, Coal Services Lithgow, Westfund, Professionals Lithgow, Skillset, Kip McGrath Education Centre, Family First Credit Union and Cruze Driving School for their continued support of the student organisers and rewards scheme.
Well done and congratulations to all at the award recipients.
