COMPETITION was strong at this week’s Little Athletics with personal best times being achieved in the 100 metres right across the age groups and they were:
Under 6: Jazz Griffiths, Angus Clues, Charlotte Elliott, Becky Monaghan, Amy Gordon and Abbey Monaghan.
Charlotte Elliott and Angus Clues also showed their skills with impressive results in the discus.
Under 7: Hannah Lambert, Brayden Drury, Connor Fitzpatrick, Lachlan Thompson, Cooper Blackman, Ashton Green, Rosa Capomolla.
Under 8: The athletes had their first go at the 60m hurdles and recorded some good times.
Brayden Saville showed great strength with the discus recording good distances.
Under 9: Top performers in the long jump were put in by Maya Lynes-Ross, Morgan Watts, Abbey Dean and Kyra Phillips who all achieved personal best jumps.
Under 10: Good distances were recorded in the long jump with personal bests recorded by Talia Zydebos, Ashley Aughterson, Alayah Lincoln, Nicholas Brownett, Cody Blackman and Caiban Lucas.
Under 11: Personal bests in the 100m came from Annalise Elliott, Morgan Stoneley, Lauren Field, Kieran Brown, Dylan Brownett and Austyn Lincoln.
Isabelle Radburn and Sarah Smith tried hard.
Under 12: It was a great start for newcomers Janaya Bennett and Michael Sandona who put in huge efforts in all of their events.
Under 13 to 17: Hanna Healey and Daniel Smith both recording personal bests in the 100m.
Athletes and their families then enjoyed a sausage sizzle from the canteen making the afternoon a great social event enjoyed by all.
