Even though the weather was cool and drizzly 37 Lithgow Swimming Club members competed in the second Friday night races of the season.
The weather did not put a dampener on the swimmers’ enthusiasm or times, as there were many new personal bests achieved.
Tait Bresac was the star breaking the 30 second barrier in the 50m free, achieving a new personal best (PB) of 29.89 seconds.
He then backed up a few minutes later to race in the 400m free and took 24 seconds off his time in this race, a great night of swimming for Tait.
Madison Haddon also did well taking 15 seconds off her 400m free time which was a terrific effort.
Swimmers of the week this week were:
Tait Bresac for the great times he achieved; Emily Richards for achieving four new PBs and Madison Haddon for the great new PB she achieved in the 400m free.
Times broken this week for all swimmers were:
Four: Emily Richards.
Three: Ruby Cullen, Samara Evans, Madison Haddon and Joss Luka.
Two: Tait Bresac, Alanna Holmes, Luke Morris, Nathan O’Donnell and Daniel Richards.
One: Zakary Bishop, Keelan Bresac, Max Cullen, Keely Haddon, Blake Holmes, Aaron O’Donnell, Jessica Platts and Matthew Rhodes.
