The weather was fabulous for the first Friday races of the 2009-10 Lithgow Swimming Club season.
After such inclement weather earlier in the week, it was great to see the sun shining.
The warm weather was great for the 27 swimmers who competed and it showed in the results with some fantastic times recorded and many new personal best times achieved.
This augurs well for the rest of the season as training has only been going for two weeks.
Special mention to Alanna Holmes who took a massive 30 seconds off her 200m free time, a tremendous effort.
Learn to swim will commence on Saturday November 21 at 9 am, cost is $65 for the first learner (this includes a $15 insurance coverage fee for a parent/guardian) and $50 for the second and subsequent learners.
Swimmers of the week this week were Murray Stewart for achieving new PBs in all five events he entered, Ruby Cullen for achieving four new PBs and Blake Holmes for achieving four new PBs and taking 23 seconds off his 200m free time.
