The quintet won three out of the five games and are keen to thank their many local sponsors with a sausage sizzle at Wallerawang Bowling Club this Saturday afternoon at 2 pm.

Invitations have now been sent out to their sponsors and it is hoped many will be able to come along and watch a DVD of some of their games, which they are preparing at present.

It is very important for catering purposes that everyone planning to attend should ring the phone numbers on the invitations as soon as possible.

For the young lads involved the trip has been a real eye opener as they visited the Great Wall of China, the Forbidden City and the Terracotta Warriors and had many visits to airports for flights between Australia, Beijing, Xian and Shanghai and home via Melbourne.

They spent five nights in Beijing where three games were played, then on to Xian for two nights.

After leaving Xian they moved on to Shanghai for three nights stay and played a further two games.

The boys are all keen to mingle with thei rsponsors, show them some of their tour highlights and share a sausage sizzle but mainly offer their thanks for the sponsorship, which was very much appreciated.

It is hoped many of those invited will be able to spare an hour or so on Saturday afternoon so the five boys and their parents can express their appreciation.

The boys are fortunate that these organisations and individuals are always willing to offer financial support for Lithgow’s young sportspersons.
