Rosellas knocked off their perch

19 May, 2009 10:20 AM
This week Midweek tennis players were greeted by the first touch of winter and combined with the windy conditions it made for some unpredictable tennis.

Rosellas were knocked off their perch suffering their first lost of the competition with Gang Gangs winning 4 sets to 2.

There were some very competitive games which could have gone either way.

Pat Kearns won all of her sets to be best for Gang Gangs and Kym Swift played consistently for Rosellas.

Swans had a 4 set to 2 win over Eagles.

Rebecca Collins showed great form for Swans winning all three sets.

Wendy Tilley was best for Eagles.

Hawks had their second win of the competition with a resounding sox set to nil victory over Emus.

Pam Field played extremely good tennis for Hawks and was well supported by her teammates.

Carol Banks was best for Emus who would like to welcome Judy Braat to their team.

Thursday’s draw: Swans v Gang Gangs; Emus v Eagles and Hawks v Rosellas.

This week the Midweek tennis players will be supporting the Biggest Morning Tea.

Emus and Rosellas are the duty teams.
