The final round of the 2008 Wendy Snelling Bowl Pennant series was played at Wentworth Falls recently, in what proved to be an excellent conclusion to the series.

Joint leaders Wentworth Falls and Lithgow were drawn to play each other to determine the winner.

The match was very close with two of the five matches being decided on the 18th hole.

Both teams are congratulated for the spirit in which the match was played; it is great to see such sportsmanship.

Lithgow came away the winners 3½ to 1½.

This was a good win for the Lithgow girls as they had to give Wentworth Falls a total of 31 strokes in the five matches as well as playing them on their home course.

Lithgow last won the series in 1996.
