Kumiai-Ryu Martial Arts will host the 20th National titles this coming Saturday at the Wallerawang Sports Stadium.
One of the organisers Rob Williams said: “We are already more than pleased with the interest shown with 80 entries already submitted.
“Some of the best fighters in Australia will be present and if you like your sport fast and furious, come along, it is a day not to be dismissed.”
The events will commence at 9.30 am with patterns and grappling, point sparring, continuous sparring running throughout the day, likely to finish mid to late afternoon with the final event of the day being [Modified] San Shou.
There will be 13 locals competing, unfortunately an Australian representative, Sam Williams of Lithgow, will not be competing.
The tournament will celebrate the 20th anniversary and a highlight will be the awarding to Kumiai-Ryu Martial Arts Founder of Kumiai-Ryu, Kyoshi Kevin Blundell with his 8th Degree Black Belt by Shifu Ron Goninan.
The award ceremony is likely to take place around 12.30 pm.
