The monthly medals attracted a good field at the Lithgow Golf Club with golfers contesting a stroke event.

The course looked the best it has for some time with the fairways defined and the greens coming back well after the recent scarifying.

Trophies were once again supplied by Ron Evans Painting.

The best nett score came out of C grade with Trevor Cameron playing good golf to finish with a 66 nett to have his named inscribed on the Roy Hill Trophy as a monthly winner.

Cameron counted out runner-up Paul Johnson who also carded a 66 nett.

A grade was won by Max Nightingale who has hit good form at the right time with the Blue Mountains Open season now upon us.

He, too, had to survive a count back, this time from Greg Dykes with both golfers finishing with 71 nett.

Dave Hicks was a clear winner in B grade with 67 nett finishing four ahead of runner-up Nev Kerrison on 71 nett.

Kerrison has returned from his Winter sojourn on the Gold Coast and has hit good form on his return.

The scratch events went to: A grade, Max Nightingale 76 on a count back, B grade, Dave Hicks 79 and C grade Dylan Banning 89.

There will be play-offs in A grade next month for this month’s medal between Max Nightingale, Greg Dykes, Marc Farnsworth, Ian Downey, Peter Hall and Roger Smith.

In C grade it will be between Trevor Cameron and Paul Johnson and David Hicks is the only clear winner of the medal.
