The Lithgow Little Athletics community received a huge boost with the installation of a new storage shed at Marjorie Jackson Oval.
The shed was made possible through the generosity of the CFMEU who provided financial support for the project that gives the athletics club a space to store equipment.
“We were approached some time ago for support from the mineworkers trust,” CFMEU’s Wayne McAndrew said.
“It’s an honour to give money towards groups like these, especially sports involving young people.”
Club president Ray Stoneley thanked the CFMEU for their support of the new shed which is a great acquisition for the club.
He also made mention of MI Concreting’s Mick Inzitari who did a magnificent job of the concreting, donating his time and an extra part of the slab.
