Survey targets shoppers

19 Nov, 2009 08:11 AM
This week Council representatives will begin completing shopper surveys in Lithgow, Portland and Wallerawang.

These surveys form part of the Business and Retail Strategy being developed and will provide input into the Local Environmental Plan and the Economic Development Strategy also being completed for the Lithgow Local Government Area (LGA).

“These shopper surveys will provide specific information for Council to address a range of issues including how to develop the LGA’s various retail centre’s including Main Street, Lithgow.,” aid Mayor Neville Castle.

“We hope that the community will again support this important project by sparing five minutes of their time to answer questions if approached by those conducting the survey.” said Mayor Neville Castle.

Surveys will be conducted on Thursday November 19 – Wallerawang

Thursday evening November 19 – Lithgow Plaza

Friday November 20-21 – Lithgow

“The surveys will examine the shopping habits of the community and identify any retail gaps and solutions that are required to help develop this important sector,” concluded the Mayor.
