Room for all on the good ship Angelique

Room for all on the good ship Angelique

03 Nov, 2009 08:03 AM
IT’S not often that you see a boat as big as Angelique on Wallerawang’s Lake Wallace.

At least that was the case in the past.

These days the Ross 750 trailer sailer is a more regular, and impressive, sight leaning into the Wallerawang wind.

Angelique is the pride and joy of the Wallerawang Sailing Club’s Vice Commodore, Martin Horder, of Bathurst.

He said he had opted for the bigger cruising vessel as ‘it’s more sociable; you can take more people with you’.

But when it comes to the serious business of competition the Vice Commodore returns to his smaller catamaran.

They will be in action in mid November at the club’s annual regatta and members are hopeful for conditions a favourable as they were at the weekend.
