Recognition for SES

Local volunteers from the NSW State Emergency Service (SES) were officially recognised this week for their commitment to their local communities by the Federal Member for Macquarie, Bob Debus.

At a ceremony in Bathurst Mr Debus presented representatives from the Lithgow, Portland, Bathurst, Burraga, Cental West Region Headquarters and Oberon SES Units with a ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ from the Australian Government recognising the valuable work that volunteers from these SES Units carry out in the community.

Mr David Tomlinson a volunteer from the Bathurst SES Unit was also recognised, being awarded a ‘SES Long Service Certificate’ and third clasp to his ‘SES Long Service Medal’ recognising 40 years of service as a volunteer with the SES.
