The production is again under the direction of Rae Burton with “Annie” based on the story of the cartoon character “Little Orphan Annie”.
It tells the story of Annie’s adventures and her eventual adoption of the wealthy “Daddy Warbucks”.
Playing “Annie” is the talented Pollyanna Barlow while the “Daddy Warbucks” role is expertly handled by Justin Griffiths.
The production promises to be one of the best yet with excellent performances being turned in by Caitlyn Stoneley as “Grace” and Stephanie Davidson as the horrible “Miss Hannigan.
Sarah Lewis is great as “Lily” and “Roosters” features Ben Fairbairn.
Other parts are played by Sam Benetatos, Keelan Bresac, Madison Griffiths, Holly Hunter, Matilda Barlow, Chris Kellond and Tiane Castillo.
A large supporting cast of orphans, servants, “bums” and the president’s men all help to bring this show together.
Music is provided by Maureen Newell and Ron Draper.
The students, helpers and director Rae Burton have worked very hard to bring the production to a very high standard and thanks go to the Lithgow Musical Society for their help and support.
Particular thanks go to Sharon Lewis, Paul Goodwin, Alec McNiven and Denise Ivers.
This is another example of school and community support and cooperation with Pat and Alan Davidson, Janine Griffiths and Joanne Blackwell also great supporters of the students.
Josh Egan has been excellent as stage manager and Brian Jones has again showed his amazing talents by providing another of his painted backdrops.
