Australia Day 2010 is shaping up as a great one according to Lithgow Mayor Neville Castle.
In addition to the official Australia Day ceremony and entertainment at Eskbank House and Museum from 9 am to 2 pm, Lithgow Council is putting on an event at the skate park and extra entertainment at the pool this Australia Day.
Jumping castles will be available at the swimming pool from 10 am to 12.30 pm, there will be a pro-skating display at the skate park from 3 pm and the Lithgow Lions Club will be providing a free sausage sizzle from 3 pm to 5 pm.
There will also be lucky door prizes at the pool.
There will also some special new entertainment at Eskbank House and Museum this year with the Acrobatic Tango duo, Liqueur Flambé, making a guest appearance.
“Council wants to make this a memorable Australia Day for the whole community.
I urge the Lithgow community to get out and celebrate at these free family friendly events”,” Cr Castle said.
