A Federal Government community cabinet meeting is coming to the Central West.

The Rudd Government has announced its 18th Community Cabinet meeting will be on Monday November 9 at Charles Sturt University, Bathurst.

This is an opportunity for members of the Central West community to meet directly with their government leaders and ask questions.

All interested members of the public living in and around Bathurst are welcome to attend and should register their attendance in advance.

Gates will open at Charles Sturt University at 4.30 pm with the Community Cabinet meeting commencing at 6.00 pm.

Those attending will have the chance to participate in a question and answer session with Rudd Government Ministers, as well as meet with individual Ministers for one on one meetings.

Each meeting starts with a Welcome to Country and a recital of the Australian National Anthem, before the Prime Minister and a community representative welcome participants.

If you wish to attend the Community Cabinet register in advance.

Registrations open at 9 am on Monday and close at 5 pm on Friday unless the maximum capacity is reached prior.

Registration can be completed online at www.pmc.gov.au or contact the Community Cabinet Secretariat on 1800 088 323 (toll free), 02 6271 5563 or via fax on 02 6271 5405.

TTY services are available on 02 6271 5845.

To request a one on one meeting with a Minister you must contact the Community Cabinet Secretariat.

From communities as far afield as Yirrkala in the Northern Territory’s East Arnhem Land to Campbelltown in Sydney’s west; Community Cabinet meetings have become an integral way in which the Rudd Government communicates with communities from across the nation.

Almost 900 Australians have had an opportunity to meet with their Prime Minister or a Cabinet minister to discuss topics of their choice.
