A Newcastle based environmental activist today launched an action in the Land and Environment Court challenging the State Government’s acceptance of a concept plan for major expansion of the Mt Piper and Bays Water Power Stations.
Court papers were served today on Delta Electricity, Macquarie Generation and Energy Minister Tony Kelly.
The action has been launched by Ned Haughton from a previously unknown group, Rising Tide Newcastle.
